SITE: full sun
FLOWERING MONTHS: July
BULB SIZE: 18/20
CARE TIPS: These are very perennial so plant them somewhere permanent. Removing the tatty foliage doesn't appear to affect the bulbs but do be sure to add grit on heavy soils.
Enrich the soil with added compost and plant the bulbs 15cm deep. Space them at 25cm intervals to ensure you leave room for the large flower heads. Make sure the soil does not get too wet or waterlogged and divide large clumps in the autumn or spring.
